Where we are

Far from the big urban centres, but only a short distance from the centre of Carpegna, our campground is in the heart of Parco Naturale Interregionale del Sasso Simone e Simoncello. At the border between Marche, Toscana, and Romagna, we are the ideal base for nature and cultural excursions in the Montefeltro region and for tasting the excellent local cuisine.

The 1960s

The first guest

In the 1960s, a pioneer of modern camping — inspired by the spirit of adventure and attracted to the untouched landscape of Montefeltro — arrived in Carpegna, a small town in the province of Pesaro and Urbino. Filippo, the grandfather of Davide, a brilliant and curious man, extended his hospitality to the traveller, setting him up in his own garden.

1973

“It was 1973, when Filippo Rosati and his wife Maria, with their then-young son Gino and his wife Laura, who owned farmland, agreed to host a group of friends with caravans. At that moment, they had an idea that would change their lives and those of their children: to create a real campground.
With courage, they rolled up their sleeves and, over the passing of the years, they expanded an idea that had come about almost by chance until it evolved into a full-service campground with a swimming pool.”

[Brief retelling of the story of the campground, written by historian campers in honour of 40 years in business]

Filippo and Maria

In short, it was a good thing they had the fortunate idea to build a real campground. Armed with the courage and a willingness to work, they rolled up their sleeves and — with a little money and many sacrifices — they gave life to what over the years has become a true paradise (“Paradiso”).

Grandma Laura

The heirs and tireless workers (Laura, or Grandma Laura, and Davide’s mum. Even today, she entertains clients by telling them stories and anecdotes of the past)

Davide Rosati
Son of Gino and Laura, he has brought the campground into the 21st century — in part, thanks to the support of his children.

Federico e Nicola Rosati
Children of Davide, the generation that is taking the reins to lead the campground and that will have the responsibility of carrying it forward as best as possible.
